Former NHL coach Bruce Boudreau seemed to be making the transition from behind the bench to television after being fired by the Vancouver Canucks last season, but the former coach of the year on Wednesday was hired as a senior advisor for the OHL’s Niagara Ice Dogs. Boudreau has coached Washington, Anaheim, Minnesota, and Vancouver over his 16 year career and has a 617-342-128 record.

The Arizona Coyotes joined the number of NHL clubs extending professional tryout contracts on Wednesday, adding former Coyote and Ottawa Senator forward Ryan Dzingel and long-time AHLer Peter DiLiberatore. Per Cap Friendly, that makes 26 players who have been signed to PTOs.
