Reports out of Colorado last week are indicating that the Avs may be without backup Pavel Francouz for an extended period recovering from offseason surgery, and according to reports out of Slovakia, they may turn to veteran Jaroslav Halak. The 38-year-old Halak served as Igor Shesterkin’s backup with the New York Rangers last season, playing 25 games and going 10-9-5, with a 2.72 GAA and .903 save percentage.
