Sabres Daily: Bouchard Bridging With Oilers?; Tourigny Extended

Published

on

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Edmonton Oilers and defenseman Evan Bouchard are closing on a two-year deal that would pay the 23-year-old blueliner an AAV of $3.9 million. Bouchard scored 40 points (8 goals, 32 assists) in 82 games for the Oilers last season and 17 points in playoffs in his second full NHL season. The deal could be an indicator of what the Buffalo Sabres might be paying Calder Trophy finalist Owen Power after next season when his entry-level deal expires. Power scored 35 points as a rookie for Buffalo last season.
