Sabres Daily: Terry Signs With Ducks; Swayman Awarded

Published

on

The Anaheim Ducks avoided arbitration with winger Troy Terry, signing the 25-year-old winger to a seven-year, $49 million contract extension. Terry scored a career-high 37 goals in 2022 and 61 points (23 goals, 38 assists) last season, and is similar in term and cap hit to deals signed by Sabres forwards Tage Thompson and Dylan Cozens.

Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman was awarded a one-year deal worth $3.475 million in arbitration on Tuesday. The 24-year-old went 24-6-4, with a 2.27 GAA, and a .920 save percentage last season and his award was slightly more than Toronto’s Ilya Samsonov. Along with the settlement to forward Trent Frederic, the award to Swayman knocks the Bruins available cap space to less than $500,000.
