Sabres Daily: Front Office Shakeup; Players Flocking To Europe

The Buffalo Sabres management team will be affected by the sudden departure of Buffalo Bills Team President Ron Raccuia according to Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News. Owner Terry Pegula will take over as Bills team president and new Sabres COO John Roth will take over as the Bills COO and executive vice-president, which Harrington believes could cause some problems.

It is getting to be that time of year when players not able to find an NHL job scramble to find a spot with a European club, rather than roll the dice on a NHL training camp invite. Two such instances occurred this week, as former Rangers and Stars defenseman Patrik Nemeth signed with SC Bern of the Swiss League after being bought out by Arizona, and former NY Islanders first-rounder Michael Dal Colle signed with Iserlohn of the German League. Dal Colle was selected fifth overall in 2014 ahead of William Nylander, Kevin Fiala, Dylan Larkin, and David Pastrnak, but scored only eight goals in 112 NHL games before going to play in Finland in 2022.
