Sabres Daily: Amerks Sign Slaggert; Lightning Comings/Goings

The Rochester Americans announced on Friday that they signed center Graham Slaggert to a one-year American Hockey League contract for next season.

The 24-year-old played four years at the University of Notre Dame, where he registered 27 goals and 42 assists in 143 NCAA games before spending parts of the last two seasons with the AHL Toronto Marlies. In 63 regular season games, Slaggert had 10 points (6 goals and 4 assists).

Sabres In Case You Missed It

Lightning Comings And Goings

In keeping track of the transactions of the Sabres Atlantic Division rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning appear to be reorganizing after losing to Toronto in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Lightning getting to three straight Cup Finals took its toll on the club physically but also in terms of their organizational depth and their management of their roster under the salary cap. Tampa still has their core group intact, but may not have the support structure to advance in the postseason.
