The Buffalo Sabres division rivals are expected to go through some significant changes and intriguing additions on Day 1 of free agency, and none is more intriguing than the Toronto Maple Leafs bringing in enforcer Ryan Reaves.

Numerous reports indicate that Toronto GM Brad Treliving wants to make the Leafs a little harder to play against and bringing in the big 36-year-old winger will certainly do that, even though he only had 43 penalty minutes last season with New York and Minnesota.

Quickly Moving East
Jonathan Quick won his third Stanley Cup with Vegas last month as a backup, but with Logan Thompson under contract and Adin Hill re-upping on a two-year deal, the future Hall-of-Fame goalie was looking for a landing spot. According to ESPN’s Kevin Weekes, that landing spot will be the New York Rangers. The goaltending carousel will be of particular interest to the Sabres, who could dramatically improve their playoff chances if they decide to bring in a veteran to partner with rookie Devon Levi.
