Sabres Daily: Olofsson Expecting Trade; Dahlin Extension?
The Buffalo Sabres have young players like Peyton Krebs, Jack Quinn and J-J Peterka pushing for spots higher in the lineup and youngsters like Jiri Kulich and Matthew Savoie pressing for an NHL job at training camp, which makes it not surprising that the future of winger Victor Olofsson with the club may be short.

Lance Lysowski of the Buffalo News reports that the 27-year-old winger and his representatives are expecting him to be traded by the Sabres this summer. Olofsson scored a career-high 28 goals last season and is entering the final year of a two-year, $9.5 million contract. With Buffalo deep at forward and unlikely to re-sign him after next year, GM Kevyn Adams may be exploring options to move Olofsson for a defenseman or goalie with a similar short-term remaining.
