Sabres Daily: NHL & PA Investigating Babcock; Coyotes PTO Party
The allegations involving Columbus head coach Mike Babcock are being reviewed by both the NHL and NHL Player’s Association, according to The Athletic’s Katie Strang. Babcock, who was hired by the Blue Jackets in early July nearly four years after being fired by the Toronto Maple Leafs, was accused on the Spittin Chiclets podcast of asking Columbus players to surrender their phones to view their personal photos.
Babcock and team captain Boone Jenner issued statements regarding the situation, but the head coach’s past abuse of players in Detroit and Toronto has him under a higher level of scrutiny.
