Published

on

The Calgary Flames are less than a month from training camp and have yet to resolve a multitude of their roster issues, including extending or trading defenseman Noah Hanifin, or forwards Elias Lindholm or Mikael Backlund. Pat Steinburg of Sportsnet believes that the 26-year-old Hanifin is the most valuable piece that the Flames have, but that GM Craig Conroy has not made a move since a strong offer still has not been made.

The Winnipeg Jets got one of the remaining unsigned restricted free agents locked up, as they signed defenseman Logan Stanley  to a one-year, $1 million deal. The 25-year-old blueliner scored three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 19 games.
