Sabres Daily: Treliving To Be Hired As Leafs GM; Komarov Advances To Memorial Final
The Buffalo Sabres arch-rival up the QEW has found their new general manager. According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, the Toronto Maple Leafs will name Brad Treliving as their new general manager.
Treliving and the Calgary Flames mutually agreed to part ways last month and the 53-year-old immediately became the favorite to replace Kyle Dubas based on the criteria that Team President Brendan Shanahan indicated last week. Other candidates who were reportedly in the mix were former NHL GM’s Peter Chiarelli, Marc Bergevin, and ex-Sabres GM Jason Botterill.

Sabres prospect Vsevolod Komarov will be playing in the Memorial Cup Final. The QMJHL’s Quebec Remparts clinched a spot in the championship game after defeating Seattle and Kamloops over the weekend.
The 19-year-old Russian was selected in the fifth round (134th overall) by Buffalo in 2022. Komarov more than doubled his offensive output this season, scoring 39 points (12 goals, 27 assists) in 62 games and had an assist in two victories over Seattle and Kamloops.
We have signed Vsevolod Komarov to a three-year, entry-level contract.
